UTM PLAY DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP:
The UTM Drama Club will host play development workshops for up to three plays. These events will feature a staged reading of part of a developing student play. The playwrights will speak about their process and about the piece itself. Following the staged reading, audience members will be encouraged to participate in a dialogue about the piece and provide feedback. These workshops can feature student-written plays that were submitted to the UofT Drama Festival or the UTM One-Act Play Festival, regardless if they were selected to be produced in either festival. Alternatively, we will accept submissions from student playwrights who would like the opportunity to workshop and receive feedback on something they have been working on. Submissions for the UTM Play Development Workshop are due at the end of October 2014.
